HITS Announces Partnership with Equestrian Connect – The One Minute Horse Show Entry Service

SAUGERTIES, NY (July 12, 2010) — Tired of filling out entry forms? Ask any trainer and the chances are you’ll receive the same answer: YES! Exhibitors traveling to HITS Saugerties and HITS Culpeper can now fill out their entry blanks online for free at EquestrianConnect.com.

Barbara Phillips and Simone Coxe, avid hunter/jumper competitors at the HITS Thermal Desert Circuit, created Equestrian Connect in the spring of 2009 with the notion that filling out seemingly endless forms in the horse show office could be a simplified process.

The one-minute horse show entry service is based out of Menlo Park, California and is now available for select horse shows on both the west and east coast. After you complete the free registration process and enter your horse information and association ID numbers, Equestrian Connect uses the actual entry form from each horse show to accurately fill out and generate your personalized entry forms. Your information is stored and can be applied to any horse show entry form, making entries a simple and less time consuming task. With a few clicks of the mouse you can print and mail your neat entry forms hassle free, which in turn saves a significant amount of time during check-in, making Equestrian Connect an easy and reliable tool for everyone.

“We launched our west coast marketing efforts at the HITS [Thermal] Desert Circuit in January/February 2010,” said Simone Coxe, co-founder. “HITS immediately saw the value, from a horse show manager perspective, of getting legible, complete entry forms. We were very happy with the visibility we received, so our decision to work with HITS-on-the-Hudson and HITS Culpeper as an official service provider was an easy one.”

“Filling out entry forms for anyone, especially those with large barns, is a tedious, hand-cramping task,” said Lisa Engel, HITS Account Executive Corporate Sponsorship. “What a treat to have Equestrian Connect provide a service that stores the horses’ and riders’ identification numbers and other information required on show entries. And, from a show manager’s perspective, it is great to see legible entry forms turned in which eliminates a lot of the time-consuming task of trying to decipher handwriting. Equestrian Connect was a hit in Thermal and we expect our east coast exhibitors to embrace this service.”
